Your Eyelashes Can Be Built to Last

Your Eyelashes Can Be Built to Last

If you’re one of the lucky few who has great eyelashes, you may have never tried using fake eyelashes before. If you don’t, however, you’ve probably tried them all. Unfortunately, a lot of fake eyelashes are either really expensive or really inexpensive, with not a lot of in between. Spending a lot for fake eyelashes, however, doesn’t always mean that you’re getting something that’s going to last longer. There are other things you have to do to be sure that your lashes are going to last.

Getting Multiple Uses

Most types of eyelashes can be worn at least a few times. If you go with the ultra-inexpensive ones, you may be getting something that’s intended for single use, but if you wear them frequently, you’re probably buying sets that last for at least a couple times, right? But, even at that rate you’re probably spending more than you want to. You want your lashes to last you a long time and that requires you to get the really good kind, and it requires you to take excellent care of them. That care starts with washing your lashes.

Cleaning Your Fake Eyelashes

Right about now, you’re probably wondering just how to clean fake eyelashes, right? Well, it’s actually not as difficult as you might have thought. The most important thing, however, is that you must pay attention to the construction of the eyelashes. Fake eyelashes are incredibly fine, just like your real eyelashes, and that’s why it’s important to hold onto them very carefully and to always take the best care of them that you can. That includes cleaning them frequently so they will last as long as possible.

The first step in cleaning fake eyelashes is to pick them up at the base and make sure you don’t pull at any of the individual lashes. You want to make sure you only hold the eyelashes by the base because this is where they are the sturdiest and where they can take the most abuse (though they still can’t take very much). While holding them at the base, you want to carefully peel away the glue that you use to attach them to your eyelid. Make sure you get all of the glue off, but don’t pull too hard or you could damage the eyelashes.

Next, soak a couple cotton balls or pas with a makeup remover that’s entirely oil free. You want to use these to surround the lashes. Put one on the top and one on the bottom and very gently press them together around the lashes. This will help you get any dirt, debris and mascara off the lashes. It also entirely saturates them with makeup remover, which is going to help with the general cleaning process. Once they are saturated you can move on to the next stage in the process, which is getting another cotton pad to clean them off.

Don’t wet the new pad or cotton ball with anything. You want a dry one that you can use to very gently wipe off anything that still remains on the lashes when you’re done soaking them. Make sure you’re extremely careful with this part because it’s easy to pull out some of the lashes when you’re trying to remove any debris. Remember, you’re not really going to rub on the lashes or pull at them in any way. You want to just brush over them gently or even pat them with the cotton ball to get everything off.

Once you’ve completely cleaned the lashes, you should put them right back in the box they came in. This will help you keep them clean and ready to go for next time. It’s also going to ensure that they retain the shape that they’re supposed to have, as long as you use the lash band. This guarantees that the signature curl is going to stay and you’ll have a beautiful set of eyelashes to put on the next time you want to wear them. It could be tomorrow or it could be a further away period. No matter when it is, you’ll be able to get the look you want.

Getting Out and About

Fake lashes can be a great way to feel more confident about yourself and the way that you look because they definitely give you a little bit of a highlight. Whether you’re looking at lashes that are designed to look just like natural ones or something with a little more style and bling, you’re going to find plenty of options and you’re definitely going to be more than ready for anything that you might be planning to do for the day. After all, you can wear fake eyelashes for just about any occasion.

If you’re going to be heading to a special event, you may want to opt for even fuller lashes or even lashes that have accents to them, such as gemstones or a little bit of colour. If you’re looking for something to wear every day, then you might want a pair that’s a little more laid back, but definitely full and with just the right amount of curl. Because there are so many different styles that people like for their lashes, there are plenty of different versions available. All you have to do is find the pair that you like best.

Getting out there and shopping for your lashes is the first step. Make sure you’re getting a pair that’s high quality and that’s designed to last more than just one use. Knowing how to clean your lashes isn’t going to help you if you get lashes that aren’t designed to be cleaned at all. With the right process, however, you can make those temporary lashes last a whole lot longer than you might have thought and you won’t have to sacrifice the look and quality of them to do so. That means you’re going to get the look you want and you’ll be able to do it at a price that you can afford.
